Why aren't there any horror movies about Cavemen?

Why do Humans think that normal prehistoric animals make such great movie monsters when ancient Homos like Homo erectus and Neanderthals were clearly far more vicious and savage than any normal prehistoric animal, including T-rex? This is just another case of Humans demonizing everything that doesn't look like their identical twins.
