Is this a reason to end my friendship/love interest? (Sorry if posted twice/Deleted by mistake days ago)?

If you know this guy as well as you say you do, you can probably tell what he really meant. I don't know him, so I can't tell you what to think. It is easy for emotions to get the best of you, especially when it is someone who brings out so much emotion in you anyway. Look at it logically, talk it over with him, be honest with him and with yourself, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. This is the only way you can gain a mutual understanding and trust of each other. Are your hurt feelings worth losing this friend? Maybe he meant it mean, but I highly doubt it. I bet deep down you know what he really meant, if not, talk it over with him, face to face. It isn't every day you find a friendship like this one, make sure you hang onto it, and don't let emotion steal him from you.
