Can you get banned from Halo: Reach even when you don't hit cR cap?

I have seen the quick way to get credits on Reach, the one where you disconnect your xbox from live when you complete a challenge and then reconnect so that you can complete the challenge again. I know that the daily credit cap is 120,000 cR and i was wondering if you can get your account banned on halo even if you don't break the credit cap? Please reply
