Am I able to do something about lace front wig that looks really fake after shaving my head?
My hair was badly damaged from over-treatment and breaking off, so I decided to get a wig and shave it off. Well, I bought a lace front wig that looked decent in the store (before shaving). Now when I put it on, the hairline looks really fake. It's a light brown/blonde color and I'm wearing a black wig cap underneath. The lace looks too dark and if I push it back too far, my shaved widow's peak is showing, if I pull the cap up to meet the line of the lace, it looks too dark. The packaging says that the lace part can be removed with adhesive remover. What will happen when the lace is removed? Will it look any better? Also, it's fitting okay but the back of my head the wig is all bunched up and looks too poofy. Is there anyway to adjust it? I'm considering a thin cloth headband to hide the lace front/hair seam, but what about the back? Would a lighter color wig cap help it look more realistic? Anything I can do to make it lie flat on my scalp in the back instead of bunching up?
